Anchored with the departmental objective to become the center of development for Information Technology (IT) in Mountain Province, the IT Department continually extending their knowledge on ICT to teachers, students and government employees through their various extension program for this school year.
For the first time in its history as a state college, the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College commemorated its 24th year of existence with the participation of the Bacarri campus in Paracelis, Mountain Province which will be the seat of the College of Agriculture when it becomes a state university. At least thirty-five students and faculty members came to the capital town to take part of the weeklong festivities of the college which is perceived as a precedent to future major college activities.
After securing a slot in the 8 qualifiers out of 191 applicants nationwide in the competitive Fulbright Graduate Program Fellowship last April 2015, Mark Preston S. Lopez, a faculty member of the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College - Teacher Education Department will matriculate at the University of Florida (UF) in Gainesville, USA this January 2016 for his doctorate. He will major in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Curriculum, Teaching and Teacher Education.
Baguio City. Out of 17competing schools in the Cordillera Administrative Region, the Tala, The Mocking Bird (official student publication of Mountain Province State Polytechnic College) bagged the overall 4th runner-up spot in the recently conducted 17th Regional Higher Education Press Conference (RHEPC) – CAR last December 3-5 held at the Baguio Benguet Community Credit Cooperative.
