AWARENESS OF MPSPC STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF ON REGIONAL AUTONOMY

ABSTRACT
The study was conducted to look into the extent of knowledge of the respondents on the concepts of regional autonomy, extent of effect of perceived factors affecting attainability of the Cordillera Autonomous Region, and the extent of effectiveness of the sources of information influencing the decision of respondents on the concepts of Regional Autonomy. Results of the study indicated that there was a difference between the level of knowledge of students, faculty, and staff on the concept of Regional Autonomy. Students were knowledgeable while the faculty and staff were very knowledgeable about the Regional Autonomy. It was also revealed that there was a difference on the perceptions of the respondents on the extent of effectiveness of sources of information in influencing the decision of the people on regional autonomy. Although the descriptive equivalent of the mean perception of the three groups of respondent is equivalent to “effective”, there was a wide difference in the group mean compared to each other. Further, it was revealed that there was a difference of the perceptions of respondents as to the effect of factors affecting the attainability of Cordillera Autonomous Region. The three groups of respondents perceived that the effect of factors affecting the attainment of Cordillera Autonomous Region have much effect.
