Engineering students from the BS in Civil Engineering program recently took part in the 23rd National Engineering Symposium, hosted by the University of the Philippines Diliman-Institute of Civil Engineering, Quezon City on September 27-30, 2023.
The summit, with the theme "Foundations Reinforced: Diversifying the Horizons of Engineering," provided a platform for students to engage in a series of events, including the National Civil Engineering Quiz, Bridge Building Competition, Civil Engineering Lab Tour, Civil Engineering Career Fair, networking sessions, and the Civil Engineering Exhibit. A total of 10 students from the College gained valuable experience, insights, and connections in diverse civil engineering disciplines, emerging trends, and innovative practices. These activities were designed to help students establish connections and gain exposure, preparing them for their academic and professional pursuits. Accompanying the students were BSCE Program Coordinator Mr. Rollie C. Mejia and faculty member Mr. Andrew Layag.
