Four students from the University of Michigan and the Northern Illinois University who are currently affiliated with the Central Luzon State University under the Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) visited MPSPC on June 25, 2022. The American students engaged in cultural immersion in and exposure to the culture of Mountain Province.
To attain this goal, MPSPC students performed various ethnic dances and the traditional Uggayam to let the visitors experience the local culture first hand. After the cultural exchange, the American students and the MPSPC students engaged in informal conversations.
The visitors also joined in the community dancing which culminated the activity. This endeavor is part of the cultural exchange partnership between CLSU and MPSPC, together with their other partners in the Magic 7 Academic Exchange Program. Asst. Prof. Kent G. Calang led the CLSU delegation. The event was organized by the offices of the SSD, VPRGL, and the School of Advanced Education.
