𝗠𝗣𝗦𝗣𝗖 𝗕𝗒𝗑𝗧𝗒𝗖 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗨𝗦. 358 Criminology students, comprising freshmen and transferees, gathered at the College Auditorium for the General Student Orientation for the First Semester of the AY 2023-2024 today, August 22, 2023.
 
In his address, College President Dr. Edgar G. Cue emphasized the significance of individual commitment and responsibility in education. He then extended a warm welcome to the students and expressed his gratitude to them for choosing MPSPC. Dr. Cue also highlighted that the institution is committed to providing tools for quality education and developing motivated leaders who contribute to the progress of their communities. Acknowledging the obstacles inherent in college life, he encouraged students to approach their personal growth with zeal and determination, advocating for resilience, accountability, responsiveness, and excellence which are all anchored in core values. Dr. Cue concluded by reaffirming MPSPC as a nurturing environment that fosters student success and advancement.
 
The event also featured presentations, beginning with an overview of the VMGT College by Dr. Mark Preston S. Lopez, Vice President for Academic Affairs. Mr. Dexter C. Lingbanan, Vice President for Administration and Finance presented the College officials. Updates on various unit processes were then shared. These sessions covered Admission and Registration by Ms. Melodave Y. Foman-eg; Libraries by Dr. Fely A. Akilith; Student Services and Development by Mr. Jayson E. Imatong; Guidance and Counseling by Ms. Crystine C. Felimon; Student Publication by Ms. Jenilyn T. Ana-as; Student Organization by Mr. Glen C. Gayagay; Scholarships and Grants and Alumni Relations by Mr. Jay B. Napanoy; Student Internship Program in the Philippines by Ms. Jiselle Q. Bayangdan; Campus Ministry by Mr. Philip Balagtey; Sports and Athletics Unit headed by Mr. Charlie Wrykan S. Engngeg and was represented by Ms. Kelanie Mae F. Adchak; Health Services by Mr. Joseph M. Brillantes; Performing Arts by Ms. Jennifer Ruth C. Tuazon; School Fees and Assessment by Mr. Rexon T. Damayan; Civil Security Services by Mr. Rommel O. Fecha; General Services by Mr. Jayson A. Omaweng; and Gender and Development by Ms. Parline Angyap T. Ullalim. A closing remark from the Executive Dean for Bontoc Campus, Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed concluded the orientation.
 
The general orientation will continue following the set schedule; BS Nursing and Teacher Education on August 23 and 24 respectively, and will be followed by BSIT, BAPS, BSOA, BSA, BSBA, and BSTM/BSHM on August 25. The School of Advanced Education orientation will be conducted on August 26.
