In a collaborative effort between the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) Department and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) - Mountain Province, the Assessors Methodology Course training commenced yesterday, February 5, at the MPSPC HM Hall, Bontoc, MP.

A vital role in shaping the skills and knowledge of academic professionals, the 5-day training serves as an avenue to develop a pool of competent assessors within the institution and community with the necessary practical and pedagogical skills for assessing the competence of students and professionals in their academic careers.
 
Ms. Priscilla A. Calde of the Provincial Training Center-Benguet expressed her gratitude for being invited as the mentor of the first ever Assessors training workshop at MPSPC and expressed hopes that the participants will accumulate a wide range of knowledge on the topics at the end of the activity.
 
Moreover, College President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, in his message, encouraged the faculty members to adopt and execute the strategies obtained to become highly credible and reliable assessors.
Participants of the workshop include the faculty members from the HTM, Nursing, Criminology, National Service Training Program (NSTP) Departments of MPSPC Bontoc Campus, and Agriculture Technology Department of MPSPC-Tadian Campus.
 
Meanwhile, the facilitation for their Conduct Competency Assessment (CCA) will be held on February 12-13, 2024.
