Spearheaded by the 14th (CAR) Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command (RESCOM), Philippine Army (PA), Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) hosted the second leg of RESCOM-Wide blood donation and 3rd quarter Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn) mustering at the Admin Lobby, Bontoc, MP today, August 26 in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC)- MP.
In her opening remarks, PRC-MP Administrator Chari Wachayna emphasized the importance of blood donation being the key in saving the lives of people.
Moreover, College President Edgar G. Cue represented by Reynaldo P. Gayo expressed his gratitude to the Regional Defense Group, RESCOM PA for sponsoring the bloodletting activity as a manifestation of altruism, respect, empathy and kindness and the spirit of og-ogfo or binnadang. He also acknowledged the donors for continuously adhering the act of volunteerism.
βA decision to donate blood can save oneβs life. All of you here are heroes. Heroes in the sense that you are brave enough, willing enough, sensitive enough to donate your blood. Every drop of blood matters-it will save livesβ, Cue stressed.
