MPSPC's academic prowess was underscored at the Asian Graduate School Summit 2024, which was held in Chon Buri, Thailand, from April 3 to 5, 2024. Dr. Jonelle D. Fagsao won the Best Research Award in the Education category, while Dr. Epiphania B. Magwilang and Ms. Luzlyn M. Agwilang were finalists for the Best Research Award in the Natural and Applied Sciences category and Education category (online), respectively.
 
Additionally, the team led by Dr. Magwilang, in collaboration with three researchers from Eastern Samar State University, Aklan State University, Ateneo de Davao University, secured a seed grant worth 50,000 Php from APCORE for their proposal "NutriCoco: Developing a Nutritious Coconut-Based Emergency Food for Resilience, Sustainability, and Economic Upliftment of Coconut Farmers in the Philippines." This proposal was one of the three selected among numerous submissions under the Research Incubation Grid, another activity during the three-day conference.
 
The A-GRASS 2024 bannered the theme "Integrative Solutions for the Future of Asia: Catalyzing Graduate Research for Sustainable Development” and was attended by academic leaders and researchers from across Asia. It provided a platform for MPSPC to share its best practices, discuss innovative approaches to education, and explore collaborative opportunities with various institutions. Participation in this event signifies MPSPC's commitment to global engagement and the pursuit of academic excellence.
 
During the summit's inaugural day, Dr. Mark Preston S. Lopez shared insights on quality assurance, research, extension, and internationalization during a roundtable discussion. MPSPC’s delegates also actively engaged in a Masterclass focused on university impact rankings and sustainable development goals. This interactive session enriched their understanding of global educational trends and challenges. They also took part in the Research Boot Camp, a hands-on workshop on various research tools, methodologies, and publication strategies.
 
The second day of the summit was an opportunity for MPSPC's delegates to present their research studies across diverse fields, including Social Sciences, Education, Business, Finance, Management, Natural, and Applied Sciences. These presentations not only showcased MPSPC's multidisciplinary approach to scholarly inquiry but also underscored the college's commitment to addressing pressing societal issues through rigorous research, leaving a lasting impact on the summit's attendees.
 
As one of APCORE’s (Asia Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators) partner institutions in the summit, the College registered a total of thirteen (13) research presenters, seven (7) of whom also played critical roles as session chairs in the online and onsite sessions.
