MPSPC students who are beneficiaries of the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) grant recently participated in the Youth Entrepreneurship Program called Project MARITES. The event aimed to equip the grantees with valuable knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship. Over the course of three days, the participants engaged in a comprehensive seminar and training session facilitated by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) mentees.

The seminar and training sessions proved to be both informative and enjoyable, providing the grantees with essential insights into the world of entrepreneurship. The sessions covered various aspects of starting and managing a business, allowing the participants to gain a deeper understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape. Topics discussed during the training included business planning, marketing strategies, financial management, and customer relations.

As a culminating activity, the participants took part in a one-day Business Pitching competition. This competition provided them an opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial ideas and skills in a competitive environment. Ms. Jessica Alintog, representing MPSPC-Tadian, demonstrated her entrepreneurial prowess and secured an impressive 4th place finish. Mr. Rogelio Tao-ey, representing MPSPC-Bontoc, also exhibited commendable business acumen and secured the 5th position.

The success of Project MARITES was further bolstered by the presence of esteemed personnel and staff from various organizations. Representatives from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Mountain Province, the DTI Regional Office, and MPSPC attended the event.
