From June 20 to 23, 2023, the Cordillera Heritage 101 Workbook group met at Apayao State College to refine the book chapters they were writing. During the three-day event, the authors presented the key points of their chapter topics.
In the Mountain Province Chapter, Dr. Willow F. Pangket led the presentation, while Dr. Jonnelle Fagsao and Dr. Claire Kaplaan P. Lafadchan organized activities for other faculty members to use when teaching about the culture of Mountain Province.
The chapter covers the geography of the province, the various ethnolinguistic communities residing there, traditional natural resource management methods, dispute resolution techniques, and agricultural technology used in the area. This chapter provides valuable information for other Cordillerans interested in learning about Mountain Province. The participation of the authors in the Cordillera Heritage 101 5th Leg demonstrates the strong support from Mountain Province State Polytechnic College in the 'Tawid di Cordillera' Project.
