Bontoc, Mountain Province - The Commission on Higher Education-Cordillera Administrative Region awarded four additional Certificates of Program Compliance (COPC) to State-run Mountain Province State Polytechnic College during the celebration of the 48th Foundation day Anniversary and 1ST Grand Alumni Homecoming of the College at the College Quadrangle here.
The programs that were awarded their COPCs were; Bachelor in Elementary Education (BEED-Tadian Campus), Bachelor of Science in Secondary (BSED-Tadian Campus), Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA).
CHED-CAR Officer-in-Charge, Dr. Ma. Geraldine Casipit, congratulated College President Rexton F. Chakas and the entire Mountain Province State Polytechnic College family for having done its utmost efforts to comply with the recommendations of the Regional Quality Assurance Team during their visits to the college.
College President Rexton F. Chakas expressed his commendations to all the stakeholders of the College who collectively worked hard for the accomplishment and reiterated his commitment and to work further for the COPCs of the other programs of the college.
It is recalled that last March 30, 2017, CHED-CAR awarded three COPCS to the College for its Bachelor in Elementary Education-Bontoc Campus, Bachelor in Secondary-Bontoc Campus, and Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA). This is in addition to the two COPCS issued in 2015 for Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Bachelor of Forestry. At present, the College has nine (9) COPC to its various programs.
The granting of COPCs to the course offered by the higher education institution is one of the major requirements for the realization of the institution’s aspiration to become a full-pledged university in the future.
Chakas expressed optimism that with the unity, teamwork and commitment of MPSPC officials and employees, more courses offered by the institution will be granted their COPCs to improve the quality of education being offered by the institutions to the thousands of students enrolling in the different campuses.
