Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) faculty and staff extension workers garnered four awards among the four participating papers during the Annual and 5th International Convention of the Philippine Association of Extension Program Implementers, Inc. (PAEPI) held at De La Salle University on February 24, 2018.

The convention was attended by 16 faculty and staff of the college both from Bontoc and Tadian Campus as part of their capability building and to further enhance the Research Development and Extension (RDE) sector in its involvement in the community development and extension services.

The Faculty and Staff Extension Workers who attended the convention are Rachel F. Fagyan (presenter), Glen C. Gayagay (presenter), Ibrahim F. Hanbal (presenter), May Crisline V. Gumihid (presenter), Emmie P. Aroy, Sheila Disierto, Jonnelle Fagsao, Gomer Pangod, Marco Gulungan,Jaccy Luzada, Mary Dumanghi, June Kiblasan, Sylesia Pangesfan, Karen Cue, Febie Liza Lacaben, and Parline Ullalim.

Four papers presented were as follows: Enhancing the Audit of Cooperatives through Continuing Education by the Accountancy Department; Training on Image Editing: Enhancing Teachers’ Capability on Instructional Material Development of the Information Technology (IT) Department; Enhancing the Development of Partner Schools Towards Quality Education through Relevant Extension Projects and activities of the Teacher Education Department (TED); and, Linking the Academe to the Grassroots: Contributions of MPSPC E-HELPING Extension Program to Community of the Development Extension Unit.

Out of these, the Extension Unit and IT Department were awarded best content for both categories and best presentation and best presenter for the later. //Extension Unit
