With the theme, “Vigorous Research and Collaborations for Sustainable World,” Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) reaped awards in the 4th International Multidisciplinary Research Conference (IMRC) at Leyte Park Hotel and Resort, Tacloban City on May 20-22, 2019.

 

Out of the 95 paper entries presented from various State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Department of Education and some presenters from Indonesia and Malaysia in the seven parallel sessions, MPSPC won three Best in PowerPoint Presentation, two Best in Paper Presenter and Best in Poster.

Claire Kaplaan P. Lafadchan won Best Paper and Best poster in science category with her paper “Indigenous security measures in Can-eo and Talubin, Northern Philippines.”

Willow F. Pangket with her paper in Teacher and Education category- “Oral communication proficiency in English of the grade 5 pupils” won Best Paper and Best in PowerPoint Presentation.

Lichelyn F. Moling with her paper in Pure science category- “Cytotoxic potentials of Betel quid and its components” is awarded Best Paper.

Jonnelle D. Fagsao with his research paper on “Mapping gender bias and language and sexism in Lumawig mythical chants” and Julie Grace K. Mi-ing with her research paper in “Trailblazing IPED praxis in Mountain Province” were awarded as Best paper presenters and Best in PowerPoint presentation.

 “It’s an avenue for researchers to present the results and findings of their study. This also gives the chance for faculty members to have collaborative research with other researchers from different universities. As a result, this would further help our institution to attain its objectives in the research agenda,” Ms. Julie Grace K. Mi-ing stressed.

According to the official website of ATIEE, the researchers were welcomed to present new ideas, research findings and new development strategies, seek knowledge and establish networking with other participants and interact scholarly with international experts and well-known lecturers.

The IMRC 2019 conference released an open invitation to all academic fields. Researchers, educators and practitioners from any discipline comprise the attendance to the conference. The Alliance of Teachers for Innovative Education and Excellence Inc. (ATIEE) organized the event with the goal of providing broad-based research conferences and trainings in multi-disciplinary fields for achieving excellent education in the different participating academe or universities.

The conference strands and areas of discipline includes but not limited to; Agriculture, education, business, social science and humanities, science and technology, environmental sciences, public administration and public health, engineering and mathematics and other allied fields.#
