“With music, we can make the world a better place,” said Choir Master Santino M. Tangilag after accompanying MPSPC Minstrels in the 1st Asia Chorale Grand Prix at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Pasay City, Metro Manila on July 21, 2019.
Asia Chorale Grand Prix is a battle of the champions among the winners in the Bali International Chorale Festival, Singapore International Festival, and Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival.
University of the Philippines Los Baños Choral Ensemble emerged as champion and the first Grand Prix winner.
“We are thankful to the administration especially to our College President Rexton F. Chakas for the unending support and for letting us attend the 1st Asia (Chorale) Grand Prix,” said Choir Master Tangilag. “We are very blessed to witness the event wherein thousands of people came from all over the Philippines just to watch the event. We learned much from this experience and we would like to share what we learned to MPSPC.”
Tangilag is assertive that the 10 students from MPSPC who attended the said event will be motivated and be inspired to join not only the choral group of the MPSPC but also other performing arts.
