Mountain Province State Polytechnic College officials, faculty members and staff trooped after the Flag Ceremony Program last August 5 to prepare school facilities and clean classrooms and offices for the opening of classes on August 13, 2019.

Various activities ranging from carpentry work, repairs, replacements, and greening the College surroundings were assigned to employees to ensure that the school grounds are clean, safe, and conducive to learning.

Rogelio K. Balcita Jr., Vice President for Administration and Finance gave the go signal for the Brigada Eskwela. He mentioned the commendation of the College President during the preparation which was participated in by all College Personnel, for the Taiwan visit. He also emphasized that the College should never be caught unprepared especially during visits of accreditors or representatives of other agencies.

“We should make sure that our College is always ready and presentable,” said Vice President Balcita during the Monday Program.

Moreover, Health Services Director Joseph B. Brillantes oriented the audience on 4S of dengue prevention. Firstly, search and destroy the breeding places of mosquitos especially bottles and other containers that accumulate water. Mosquitos usually attack during dawn or dusk.  Secondly, seek early treatment in case you have the flu-like symptoms which usually occur 4 to 7 days after being bitten; nausea, muscle pain and fever. Thirdly, support the fogging and spraying the habitat of the mosquitos. Lastly, self-protect or do all necessary measures to avoid being bitten by these mosquitos especially that there is an increasing number of dengue cases in our province.

“Also, in coordination with Red Cross Mountain Province, we seek again your volunteerism to the bloodletting program on August 13, 2019. Most of the recipients of these blood donations are the dialysis patients and those with dengue hemorrhagic fever,” Brillantes added.

In line with the upcoming accreditation visit on August 13 to 15, 2019, Genevieve Claudio, OIC – Director for Quality Assurance, announced that the visit includes the accreditation for the level III of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master in Public Administration and Master in Business Administration programs and revisit for Area 7 (Library) of the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration and Bachelor of Science in Criminology.
