The 12 accreditors from Accredited Agency of Chartered Colleges and University of the Philippines (AACCUP) visited Mountain Province State Polytechnic College from August 13-15 for the accreditation survey visit for Level III – Phase I for the three academic programs, and Revisit - Area VII (Library) for other two academic programs of the college.

On August 13, the accreditors were welcomed by the MPSPC during an opening program. The accreditors, headed by their Overall Coordinator Dr. Adolfo C. Manuel of Cavite State University (CavSU), met up with MPSPC’s top brass, headed by College President Dr. Rexton F. Chakas.

The opening program became a platform for the AACCUP accreditors to be formally introduced to their counterparts in MPSPC, particularly those who were part of the college’s accreditation task force. College’s Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Rogelio K. Balcita, Jr. presented the MPSPC officials while Executive Dean Dr. Christie Lynne C. Codod introduced the accreditation taskforce of the college.

The accreditors were divided into teams. For the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Dr. Pepito C. Sacramed of Cagayan State University is the Team Leader while Dr. Fe S. Soriano of Pangasinan State University, Dr. Ruby B. Dimas of Isabela State University (ISU), Dr. Marisol S. Foronda of ISU, Dr. Josephine A. Gonzales of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), and Prof. Carl Anthony B. Alora (CavSU) are accrediting members.

For the Master in Business Administration, Dr. Evelyn B. Lomboy of Pangasinan State University (PangSU) is the Team Leader while Dr. Ruby B. Dimas of ISU, Dr. Fe S. Soriano of PangSU, Dr. Marisol S. Foronda of ISU, Dr. Josephine A. Gonzales of CBSUA, and Prof. Carl Anthony B. Alora of CavSU are the accrediting members.

For the Master in Public Administration, Dr. Dennis M. Bacuyag of CagSU is the Team Leader while Dr. Dariel A. Palmiano of CBSUA, Dr. Freddie R. Cabrera of ISU, Dr. Ruben R. Ragunjan of University of Northern Philippines, and Prof. Carl Anthony B. Alora of CavSU are the accrediting members.

For the Revisit of Area VII (Library), Prof. Carl Anthony B. Alora of CavSU is the lone accreditor for Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Bachelor of Science in Office Administration.

The AACCUP is an accreditation agency in the Philippines with 111 institutional members and, in 20 years until 2012, has accredited almost 3000 academic programs of higher education institutions (HEIs) in the country. In line with the university’s goal of becoming a world-class HEI, having its programs accredited by AACCUP is the next big step in achieving the said goal.
