In response to the Regional Memorandum No. 175, s. 2020 of the Department of Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (DepEd-CAR) re the 2020 Education Stakeholders’ Convergence with the theme “Promoting Shared Responsibility on the Delivery of Basic Education in the New Normal”,
the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College participated in the said forum which was conducted on July 2, 2020 through the Zoom platform and was aired live through the DepEd-CAR Facebook account.
MPSPC was invited as one of the participants representing the CAR Association of State Universities and Colleges (CARASUC) to share the initiatives and actions taken by SUCs in responding to the demands of the New Normal in higher education. Dr. Rexton F. Chakas was represented by Dr. Mark Preston S. Lopez, Chairperson of the Teacher Education Department in presenting the MPSPC Flexible Learning Model dubbed as “Any Time, Any Place, Any Path, Any Pace: The MPSPC Way” and in providing the overarching initiatives of SUCs in the region for flexible learning.
The primary goal of the online forum is to provide an avenue for education stakeholders to understand the current polices and learning continuity plan of the Dep-Ed CAR and to empower them by sharing ideas and feedbacks to K-12 educational institutions for necessary reforms in the delivery of basic education.
The College’s active participation to these endeavors fosters the Administration’s pursuit for local linkages that help promote quality and responsive education for all.
