In the pursuit of the College Administrator's thrusts on building meaningful and responsive linkages with the community, the Montain Province State Polytechnic College, led by the College President, Dr. Rexton F. Chakas, signed a memorandum of agreement with barangays Alab Oriente, Alab Proper, Balili, and Gonogon and the various civic organizations in these areas on December 28, 2020 at the Administration Conference Hall.
The primary focus of the partnership was on the 2 extension program of the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) titled "Key Skills for office Management (KSOM)" and that of the Master in Public Administration (MPA) titled "Enriching Leadership, Administrative, and Managerial Proficiency for Rural Development (ELAMP 4RD)". The MOA also covers the provision of the other viable extension programs and projects by the College.
Signing the various MOAs with Dr. Chakas were the punong barangays of ALBAGO: Hon. Rudy B. Gittabao of Gonogon, Hon. Henry L. Atiwag of Balili, and Hon. Marlon Kis-ing of Alab Oriente. The presidents of the various civic organizations also participated in the activity: Ms. Elena B. Elwas of Egonogon organization; Ms. Rowena Boyagoa of the Kalipunan ng mga Liping Pilipina, Balili Chapter; Ms. Melanie Bilog of the Kalipunan ng mga Liping Pilipina, Alab Proper chapter; and Ms. Josephine B. Dapig of the Kalipunan ng mga Liping Pilipina - Ga-od SLP organization.
In his message, Dr. Chakas emphasized that it is quite ironical that the MPSPC President hails from balili but has not provided extension services to the said areas. Through the MOA signing, the College is now able to help these barangays in the various areas of endeavors.
