The board performance of Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) graduates in the different licensure examinations administered by the Philippine Regulatory Commission (PRC) nationwide from March 2015 to May 2016 showed the increased board passers of the college. The result shows that MPSPC produced different professionals this academic year 2015 – 2016.
These new professionals have a total of 87 elementary teachers, 151 secondary teachers, 176 criminologists, 1 electrical engineer, 5 master electricians, 12 civil engineers, 70 nurses, 15 accountants and 3 agriculturists. Generally, the first takers’ institutional passing rates surpassed the National Passing Rates (NPRs) in the different board examinations.
Bachelor of Nursing graduates (new and old) who took their Nursing Licensure Examination (NLE) on November 29 and 30, 2015 released on January 2016 had an improved performance of 69.57% for first takers compared to May 2015 performance of 53.33%.
The Criminology Department produced another topnotcher, Jonathan A. Langbayan with 87.90% rating. Langbayan ranked 3rd highest among the examinees nationwide.
Bachelor of Criminology graduates (new and old) who took the board Licensure Examination for Criminologists (BLEC) on April 2016 was released on May 17, 2016 with an institutional overall performance of 45.70% (first timers: 68.42%; repeaters: 22.67%) compared to the NPR of 23.90%.
The result of Registered Master Electrician on April 12, 2016 was released on May 2015 having MPSPC rate of 100% with three (3) passers compared to the NPR of 56.04%.
New Civil Engineers was released May 2016 with four (4) passers having an institutional passing rate of 13.79% below the NPR of 16.67%.
The Licensure Examinations for Elementary and Secondary Teachers on March 2016 was released May 2016. The college had a total of fifty (50) passers for the Elementary Level and 83 passers for Secondary Level. The institutional passing rates for first takers in the elementary teachers are 100% for both Tadian and Bontoc Campuses higher than the NPR of 28.39%. In the secondary teachers, the institutional passing rates were 53.85% for Bontoc Campus and 60% for Tadian Campus higher than the NPR of 35.43%.
The PRC released the result of the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination on May 2016. MPSPC had an institutional passing rate of 31.03% with nine (9) passers compared to NPR of 42.84%.
The MPSPC further intensifies this by opening the Center for Continuing Education to supplement the graduates’ and the undergraduate education and to further prepare them in their career advancement. /(Lifted from the MPSPC Annual Report 2015-2016)
