“We are extremely grateful to all members of our Board of Trustees for their passion for MPSPC’s mission and their commitment to the people we serve,” said College President Rexton F. Chakas, in announcing the newly selected private sector representatives to its Board of Trustees.

It will be recalled that   Benedict P. Odsey II and Gemma A. Ngelangel were preferred by the BOT from among the eight nominees. The selection was held during the 106th BOT Regular Meeting last June 23, 2016 at CHED Central, C.P. Garcia Avenue., UP Campus, UP Diliman Quezon City.

Benedict P. Odsey II is a practicing free-lance architect and an entrepreneur. He is the owner of the Chonglian Thermal Pools in Mainit, Bontoc, Mountain Province. 

38 year-old Odsey finished his education at the Saint Louis Univiersity, Baguio City in 2001 and started working in 2006 in Saipan. 

In the public affairs arena, he chaired the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) – Summer Capital Chapter in 2010 – 2011. He had also been an active member representative of the CAR – Regional Land Use Committee. 

Odsey presently resides in Caluttit, Bontoc, Mountain Province with his wife Cheran Deborah Gampol Empleo and their son Josiah Nicolai. 

His advocacy is to promote better environment for enhancement of learning conditions through the cooperation of the community.

Gemma A. Ngelangel holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Dominic Savio College and a master’s degree in Masters in Health Systems Management from the Philippine Women’s University. She graduated Bachelor of Laws in 2002 from the Philippine Law School in Pasay City.

Her career began at the Cetaves, Delarmente & Tan Law Office in Manila as a paralegal and later moved to Washington, D.C., USA and joined the Law Office of Samuel Omwenga as a paralegal in 2004 – 2005. While in the US, she also worked as Office Manager and a private duty nursing assistant for Geriatic clients at the Cheerway LLC, Rockville, Maryland.  

In 2007, she decided to come back to the Philippines and worked as Legal Officer and Acting Hospital Administrator of the Ospital ng Muntinlupa. She also served as Legal Officer at the Office of the City Attorney of the City Government of Muntinlupa. /Wynner Sayaan
