Enriching the goal of Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) to become one of the Indigenous People's Education (IPed) Center in the Philippines, the MPSPC Faculty and Staff Performing Arts Group (FSPAG) participated in the Street Dancing of this year’s Am-among Festival of Bontoc, Mountain Province last September 16.
Bearing the theme, “Fostering People Empowerment for the Preservation and Development of Culture”, Bontoc celebrated its 108th Foundation Anniversary and 12th Am-among Festival. These festivities were undertaken through Proclamation No 33 by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea from the Office of the President a special non-working day for the people of the Municipality of Bontoc, Mountain Province to be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion.
MPSPC - FSCAG and Tagudin National High School (from Tagudin, Ilocos Sur) as guest presenters joined the other contested six group of Street Dancers as the highlight of the Civic Parade, namely: All Saints Mission Integrated School (ASMIS), Saint Vincent School (SVS), Upland (Guina-ang National High School and Guina-ang Elementary School), Albago, Riverside (Talubin National High School and Talubin Elementary School), and Mountain Province General Comprehensive High School (MPGCHS) with Bontoc Central School (BCS) that added colors to the parade.
