BAGUIO CITY. The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) – Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) Chapter was able to bag 1st place in the Speak Up Category during the 15th Regional Mid-Year Convention held at Hotel Supreme, September 25-27.
With more than 600 participants, Marcial III P. Pineda, 4th year student from Accountancy Department, won first place in the Extemporaneous Speaking organized by the National Federation of JPIA – Region One and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) Council.
Bannered with the theme, “JPIA Millennium: Honoring the Past, Treasuring the Present, Shaping the Future – A New Spectrum of Possibilities,” the said confab opts to gather all of the Local Chapter representatives in the entire Region One and CAR and aims to showcase their talents and skills, all to strengthen the solidarity that JPIAns have. Pursuing to be more united, the MPSPC – JPIA chapter tested and deified their skills in the academic prowess, non-academic artistry, leadership potentials, and character building opportunities.
The MPSPC – JPIA chapter, with the guidance of its Faculty Members, is actively participating with the different activities inside the institution and working in various extension programs for the development of the community.
“We are blessed with the usual support of MPSPC Family. Attached to the award is the success of our institution in fostering their competency not only in our Province, but also in Northern Luzon,” Pineda shared in an interview.
