Nursing Department Dean Mr. Afred O. Fomocao, Jr., convened the faculty for their first meeting of AY 2023-2024. The group discussed the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and cultural aspects, fostering Gender Sensitivity and Development into the Nursing curriculum for the indigenization and internalization of the Nursing program.

Key deliberations during the meeting also encompassed the four-fold function of the College, where the goal and objectives of the department are anchored. For Instruction, discussions encompassed enrollment procedures, allocation of faculty loads, room assignments, teachers' programs, syllabus development, term examinations, and assessment/grading mechanisms. Additionally, methodologies for evaluating faculty performance by students and supervisors were examined. The meeting also scrutinized the involvement of both faculty and students in research undertakings, extension projects, and productive ventures. An emphasis was placed on measures such as publication, citation practices, and collaborative initiatives to enhance the academic and research endeavors of the Nursing Department.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) were also presented to ensure adherence to dress codes, attendance regulations, and other procedural guidelines. The aim was to ensure a conducive educational and operational environment.
