Mr. Gleson D. Banaken, BEED Class of 1998 and currently the School Principal of Bauko Central School said this statement during the Pinning Ceremony of 29 student teachers today, September 12, 2023, at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Bontoc Plaza.

MPSPC College President Dr. Edgar G. Cue represented by the Vice President for Administration and Finance Mr. Dexter Lingbanan stressed the importance of the pinning ceremony-that the student teachers responded to the calling of the teaching profession. "You will already be having a taste of the real world. You began the process to becoming educators.โ€ He also challenged the student teachers to be PRIME movers as well as to be accountable for their actions and decisions, responsive to the changing demands of time, and to be excellent in their performance as individuals.

Mr. Banaken praised the student teachers for choosing the teaching profession. He reassured the student teachers not to worry, as MPSPC, soon to be MPSU, through its Teacher Education Department, has diligently prepared them. โ€œTeachers are said to be the jack of all trades and masters of the mind. The thing is that we keep our passion burning," he added. He also provided a meaningful interpretation for the acronym TEACHERS: T-utor, E-ngineer, A-rchitect, CH-oreographer, E-ngraver, R-esearcher, and S-culptor. Additionally, a mass was organized by the MPSPC Campus Ministry, led by Coordinator Mr. Philip Balagtey.
