EDU-CONNECT SOUTHEAST ASIA ASSOCIATION

The Edu-Connect Southeast Asia Association, Kaohsiung is a civil society organization based in Kaohsiung City aiming to facilitate educational, business, and industry exchanges between Southern Taiwan and Southeast Asia. Its membership comprises universities, emerging micro-, small- ---, and medium- --- enterprises (MSMEs), and several development organizations located in Southern Taiwan cities.

 

The Training Network in Asia is a start-up project between the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) and the Edu-Connect Southeast Asia Association, Kaohsiung. The project aims to offer thematic training visits to promote collaboration between Taiwanese and Filipino academics, experts, businessmen, and industry leaders.

 

The Nursing faculty of MPSPC was awarded international scholarships at Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan.

Eva F. Dimog, a faculty member of the Nursing Department of Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) was granted the Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU), Taiwan Students Scholarship Award Value: Type A to study Ph.D. in Public Health starting September 2019 to July 2020.

Edu-Connect Delegation during the Taiwan visits MPSPC: 2019 Edu-Connect Delegation to Manila Metropolitan and Cordillera Region. The visit was to discuss mobility between MPSPC and other institutions in Taiwan, the event was attended by the different departments of the institution.

ANTENA Project

The Internationalization of Higher Education in the Philippines Network (“ANTENA”) Project is an endeavor led by the University of Alicante in Spain with the support of the University of Montpelier in France and the European Foundation for Management Development in Belgium.

 

The project envisions to help improve the Philippines’ credit recognition and mobility system and international research activities and develop specialized staff in international relations. It primarily aims to consolidate the country’s internationalization structure and help build the human resource capacities of Philippine higher education institutions (HEIs) through targeted training programs in 10 select institutions. On top of this, it also seeks to complement governance reforms of the Commission on Higher Education and enhance international networking through strategic actions in key areas of the Philippine higher education system.
