593 graduate and undergraduate students were recently conferred their respective degrees during the 52nd Commencement Exercises held at the Bontoc Central School Open Gymnasium. The ceremony, presided over by College President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, celebrated the achievements of the graduates as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. The event's theme, "Pursuing the Dream: Fortifying Efforts for MPSPC's Transformation into a State University," highlighted the institution's commitment to be converted to a state university.

 

Hon. Irene B. Gahid, the Regional Director of the Department of Budget and Management-CAR, graced the occasion as Guest of Honor and Speaker. Her presence added significance to the event, as she shared words of wisdom and inspiration to the graduating class.

 

During the ceremony, P2LT Remuel Bosway Agpawan, a BS Accountancy alumnus and Top 6 of the Officer Candidate Course, Class 58-23 of the Philippine Army, was awarded a plaque of recognition. This commendation acknowledged his outstanding achievements and exemplified the caliber of individuals produced by the institution.

 

Among the graduates, eight students graduated cum laude: Ms. Tzethel A. Biangalen, Ms. Novelyn B. It-itan, Ms. Ruby M. Linggayo, Ms. Jove Ann B. Taguitag, Ms. Erica L. Aniban, Ms. Kharoline B. Ayochok, Ms. Yadchao Edelyn M. Olapen, and Ms. Jemalyn A. Kihel. Additionally, Ms. Erlyn P. Bid-ing was conferred the Outstanding Student Leader Award, recognizing her exemplary leadership skills and contributions to the college community.

 

The graduation ceremony was attended by parents, college officials, and personnel from both campuses. Also present was Atty. Cyphrine Maxcel Y. Dalog, who witnessed the memorable event alongside other distinguished guests.
