MPSPC ON NO POVERTY

According to data from the Philippine Statistics Authority, the poverty rate in Mountain Province for the year 2022 is high, with 23 out of every 100 families experiencing poverty. This province is also home to one of the marginalized sectors in our society, the Indigenous Peoples. Poverty and education are inextricably linked. Recognizing that this local situation is part of a broader global challenge, MPSPC is fully dedicated to addressing SDG 1 No Poverty. Guided by our vision of improving lives and promoting sustainable development, we are committed to ensuring that our projects, programs, and initiatives work towards uplifting the well-being of our students, and the empowerment of the community.

In practice, the Institution mandates through its various programs the integration of the principles and practices of equity, justice, and inclusivity in its plans and activities. These principles guided the realization of providing good health and well-being to all the employees and other stakeholders including the students. Further, it looks forward to the sustainability of this endeavor through continuous and ongoing programs anchored on its vision, mission, goals, and thrusts.

Mountain Province State Polytechnic College is an educational institution that is highly committed to gender equality and women's empowerment through its many policies, plans, and procedures. The College has created an environment that promotes equal opportunities, respect, and fairness for everyone, ensuring that women's and other minorities' perspectives are heard, valued, and given equal weight within the MPSPC community.
