The Mathematics Society successfully organized the Provincial Philippine Statistics Quiz Bee on September 21, 2023, in collaboration with the Philippine Statistics Authority - Mountain Province Office. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Marcelo L. Basan and Mr. Keem T. Sumcad from PSA, who served as the esteemed Quiz Masters.
The winners are as follows: 10th- Pilayan, Harold Ian George P. (BSCE) 9th- Tengedan, Deborah L. (BSA) 8th- Padonga, Jhun Lloyd K. (BSIT) 7th- Santiago, Lovely A. (BSA) 6th- Wangdali, Hericca B. (BSA) 5th- Jacob, Roxane J. (BSCE) 4th- Bacling Jazel H. (BSCRIM) 3rd- Cap-is, Jupiter (BSED-M) 2nd- Agwilang, Tristom (BSA) 1st- Wacangan, Ryza P. (BSA) The Top 2 winners will represent MPSPC and Mountain Province as a whole for the Regional Philippine Quiz Bee.
This event not only aligns with the institution's goal of academic excellence but also contributes to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). One of these goals is to ensure quality education for all, aiming to promote literacy and numeracy among both young people and a significant portion of adults, regardless of gender.
