In a joint effort to promote cultural exchange and prepare for an upcoming international visit, the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) and the University of the Philippines Asian Institute of Tourism (UPAIT) organized a three-day educational excursion. The excursion involved the participation of Tourism students from MPSPC and a group of 34 students from UP Asian Institute of Tourism, accompanied by their adviser, Ms. Charmielyn Cabigas-Sy.

The Cordillera Culture Camp Pilot Project served as a preparatory activity for the upcoming visit of Taiwan Graduate School Delegates to MPSPC in October 2023. The visiting team's itinerary included visits to various notable destinations such as Sagada, Buscalan Kalinga, Sadanga, the MPSPC Ba-ang Campus, the Bontoc Museum, and the MPSPC Bontoc Campus. These locations provided opportunities for the Tourism students to showcase their skills and knowledge while immersing themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the region.

As part of the academic exchange, Dr. Karen B. Cue, the Chairperson of the HTM Department and the Director for Linkages, along with Dr. Fely Akilith, the Director for Libraries, received instructional materials from the UP Asian Institute of Tourism delegates. This exchange of materials further strengthened the educational ties between MPSPC and UPAIT, facilitating knowledge sharing and enhancing the learning experience for both institutions.

To conclude the educational excursion, the UP Asian Institute of Tourism students and their adviser paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the President, with Dr. Edgar G. Cue warmly welcoming them. This educational excursion showcased the commitment of both institutions to providing students with immersive learning experiences and preparing them for the global stage of tourism. It served as a valuable opportunity for students to broaden their perspectives, strengthen their skills, and foster intercultural connections in the field of tourism.
