Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) was recognized for its academic achievements at the International Research and Innovation Conference on Education, Engineering, and Agriculture (IRECEEA) 2023. The conference took place at the DMMMSU North La Union Campus from December 4-6, 2023. Alongside Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) and ten other institutions, MPSPC stood out during the event.

MPSPC received three awards at the conference. Ms. Maria Paz O. Baldo's paper titled "Toxigenic Fungal Species Associated with Pigeon Pea (Cajanus cajan) Seeds and Peanut (Arachis hypogaea) Kernels from Bauko, Tadian, and Sabangan, Mountain Province" won both the Best Paper and Best Presenter awards in the Agriculture category. Dr. Johnny Cayabas also received an award for the Best Paper in the Education category for his research on "Contributions and Partnership Strategies of External Stakeholders in the Implementation of the Alternative Learning System in Bontoc District: Insights from Teachers."
 
The conference also featured seven more MPSPC presenters from the fields of Education and Agriculture: Lichelyn M. Nasungan, Julie Y. Lumsit, Glen Gayagay, Julie P. Garsi, Delia A. Sumeg-ang, Darwin Philip C. Alera, and Julie Grace M. Docallas.
 
Epiphania B. Magwilang and Luzlyn M. Agwilang, representing MPSPC, served as evaluators in the Engineering and Education categories, respectively. Additionally, Rolando Tawanna Jr. and Dikwanay Kate Fa-ed acted as facilitators in these categories, showcasing MPSPC's engagement in various roles during the conference.
 
Adding to the institutional presence, Brent Greg Gomuad and Rogie Lantion, chairpersons of the Agroforestry and Engineering departments, respectively, actively participated in the conference. Their presence further emphasized MPSPC's commitment to fostering collaboration and sharing expertise in the fields of Agroforestry and Engineering.
 
The success of MPSPC participants, along with the active involvement of departmental leaders, stands as a testament to collaborative strength and the potential of regional institutions to make an impact on the international stage.
