In support to the Cordillera’s pursuit of regional autonomy, the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) is hosting the Cordillera Regional Autonomy Summit and Youth Fora with its theme “Cordillera Autonomy for Inclusive and Sustainable Regional Development” at the College Auditorium this 7th of December 2023.

As a platform for youth to increase awareness of fostering inclusivity in the political and economic system of our region, the summit serves as an opportunity for young leaders to be at the forefront of change in line with the region’s quest to autonomy.
 
In his opening remarks, College President Dr. Edgar G. Cue highlighted the importance of a higher level of comprehension among the constituents in order to push through with the dream of pursuing autonomy in the region.
 
He went on to elaborate on Dr. Jose Rizal's famous remark, “The Youth are the Hope of Our Country”, saying that it is critical to educate the students to become agents of change and champions for transformation in defining the future of the Cordillera region.
 
The one-day Youth Forum on Autonomy is being participated by over 300 MPSPC student leaders as well as representatives from the Regional Development Council (RDC) – CAR, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) – CAR, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) – Cordillera, Philippine Information Agency (PIA) – Mountain Province, the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU), Mayors from the Municipal Local Government Units (MLGU) of Mountain Province.
