CoLAB Training Consultancy Services paid a courtesy visit to the office of the College President today (May 29, 2023), through the VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mark Preston S. Lopez, and Dr. Karen G. Cue, Director for Linkages and Special Projects, at the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College Admin Building.

Mr. Jefferson J. Sy, an IT consultant, and Ms. Charmielyn C. Sy, managing director of CoLAB, expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the institution for partnering with them to provide the Global Distribution System (GDS) Training.

Furthermore, Dr. Lopez emphasized the importance of the GDS Partnership and training with industry professionals to increase the knowledge and skills of faculty and students, since this is also one of the remaining requirements of the BS Tourism Program in the College's pursuit of a university status.

Global distribution system (GDS) is a global reservation system that serves as a link between travelers and suppliers such as hotels, other lodging providers, and other travel-related services. It sends real-time product, pricing, and availability information to travel agencies and internet booking engines for automated transactions.

Meanwhile, the aforementioned faculty training for the BS Tourism Program will start today, May 29, and shall last until May 31, 2023.

Moreover, the capacitated faculty members shall help facilitate the students' training expected to take place next month.
