Dr. Rexton F. Chakas, MPSPC President called for a meeting with the Higher Education sector, including the VP for Administration and Finance, to discuss the contingency plans of the College, particularly on academic concerns in relation to CHED Advisory # 6, re: Guidelines for the Prevention, Control, and Mitigation of the Spread of COVID-19 in Higher Education Institutions dated April 13, 2020. As a result of the meeting, the body agreed on important academic-related decisions on the condition that the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) will be lifted, however subject to upcoming directives from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) within the week.

          With the extension of the Luzon ECQ, the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College distributed the second round of relief packs to 89 stranded students, with 83 in Bontoc and six in Tadian on April 18, 2020. This SUC initiative is part of the intensification of the Og-ogfon si MPSPC, a social action program of the Office of the College President that provides assistance to stranded students and the medical and non-medical front liners in different municipalities in Mountain Province.

      04-01-2020. The D33 Upper Bauko Group, a group of farmers represented by Mr. Herald Olsim, through the Office of the Hon. Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr., Representative of the Lone District of Mountain Province, donated assorted vegetables to the residents of Central Bontoc including stranded MPSPC students. The packing and distribution of these goods was facilitated by volunteers from the Events Management Office of the College and from the Office of Congressman Dalog, in coordination with the Barangay Captains of the 4 barangays in Central Bontoc.
